Taxidermy Australian Birds Dome
Fine, late-Victorian diorama of a rare Paradise Riflebird below a Regent Bowerbird, endemic to Australia. The Riflebird exhibits full iridescent plumage to its crown, throat and tail. Both are superbly modelled, perched on detailed branch work amongst colourful vegetation and housed beneath the original glass dome on a walnut veneered oval base with bun feet.
